Our cross country schooling adventure.

On Sunday, Monica and I were supposed to be leaving around 9 am to go cross country schooling in Kansas City, and we were ON TIME, IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE.

A little into my personal life, I got off work at 2am on saturday and I was exceptionally excited to get five hours of sleep. Well, I get home, take the horrible choke hold of a bra off, and I get a phone call from my fantastic boyfriend. Well, fantastic boyfriend was wasted, and fantastic boyfriends best friend was wasted and got pulled over. YAY!

Well apparently, they got the nicest cop in the entire universe and said cop said that if they can get someone to come drive the car, boyfrans best friend would not get a DUI. Awesome luck right? Well, I forgot that boyfrans besties car was a stick shift. I have not driven one in 7 years! Well, to wrap this boring story up I'm a badass and I didn't stall the car once! I know, applause is not necessary.

Anyway, I got home from this adventure at 4 am, and had to be up at 7, I was exhausted, but so excited! I got to the barn around 7:45 and proceeded to groom and wrap up miss sexual mare, she was a little jittery and it was exactly promising. When Monica got there, Isis decided she was afraid of the trailer. She has always had minor issues with trailering, she doesn't not go on at all, she was hesitates and backs up, then comes back on with front feet only, then gets back off. Annoying.

Monica proceeded to tell me that she can fix it, but it might not be pretty. Since I trust her whole entirely, I handed her the rope. Essentially, when a horse backs up when loading, make backing up as uncomfortable as possible. It took miss genius mare 4 times until she loaded perfectly. Smart girl.

Two hours later we were in Kansas City and we took a good 45 minutes to let our ponies graze and relax until we tacked up. The best part, is Monica and I just bought DELMAR FRONT BOOTS. GAH GAH GAH GAH. They are so sexual and perfect.

Once we had gotten on Isis was a little jittery ball of nerves. I let her canter around and she developed a really sensational pace, I've never felt her this consistent. Her stride is generally huge and she was so consistent, I was ecstatic! After warm ups, my wonderful friend Brittany (who took all the pictures!) pointed at a tiny log on the ground. Feeling completely confident I trotted up to this TINY FUCKING LOG and she refused it. I almost died. She has never refuses. Well Isis is now going sideways and flipping her head. I saw my eventing dreams crumbling. I kicked her, and she flew over the jump. I was defeated, I thought she hated it. I turned around and trotted at it once more and she broke into her canter and flew over the tiny log. She didn't stop again all day, not once, not even a tiny peak at a fence, she sailed over every single thing the entire day.

her first 'big' fence.

Monica and training table!

Isis loves the water!

Isis beasting the railroad tracks and me sucking.

I hate her, she's so perfect.

My supermare, she jumps so huge all the time.

She looks like a warmblood doesn't she?

MUST NOT TOUCH

I love this picture!

Little bank! Look how happy she is!

And right now the first time!

HUGE TRAINING FENCE! She didn't even hesitate!

SQUEEEEEEEE

Yes, I know they are awesome.

Yankee forgot he wasn't a reindeer.

He's so badass.

Racing!

Well anyway, mostly all pictures, hopefully that isn't bad. Basically Yankee and Isis were the most badass horses ever. Monica had a moment over the training barrels, the line was incredibly tricky and she kind of psyched herself out, but they promptly got over it when Monica remembered how awesome Yanks is. I freaked out over the big fences because I thought Isis would bail on me and I would die. Of course she didn't, she is too perfect. Unfortunately, the entry for the event was not online, EVEN THOUGH IT SAID IT WAS, and I missed the deadline. I guess I will be waiting for a few more months. I think that's best. Our dressage is terrible and I would hate to push wondermare too hard and too fast. Anyway, Isis is perfect- here are some links to videos! Watch themmmmm.

You hear me after- 'I can't even', she's so perfect!

SORRY I SUCK AT RIDING. WAHHH

Isis will be doing a light dressage ride today! Maybe some pictures! :D
